Wedding Officiating · All Couples Welcome

A ceremony that honors your love, your people, and your story.

A meaningful beginning, with room for who you are. Wedding officiating with Scotty A. Arceneaux, an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church.

BIPOC and LGBTQ+ couples and families are warmly welcomed. Your culture, identity, beliefs, and chosen family belong in the celebration.

Belonging Is Part of the Celebration

All love stories deserve respect.

Your wedding should feel like a reflection of you, not a box you have to fit into. The starting point is a conversation about what matters to you and how you want to mark your commitment.

Identity & Culture

Celebrating who you are

BIPOC couples and interracial and intercultural families are welcome. Share the language, traditions, and meaningful details you would like to discuss for your ceremony.

LGBTQ+ Affirming

Your relationship belongs

A welcoming space for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, nonbinary, and queer couples, with respect for your names, pronouns, and the way you describe your relationship. You should not have to explain why your love deserves celebration.

Family & Connection

Room for your people

Blended families, children, elders, and chosen family can be part of the conversation. Let’s discuss how the people important to you can feel included and how to support their participation.

Every Couple, Every Family

Love looks like you.

Grooms and grooms, brides and brides, transgender and nonbinary partners, and every couple in between are welcome to start the conversation here.

Meet Your Officiant

A warm presence for a meaningful moment.

I’m Scotty A. Arceneaux, an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church. I believe a wedding ceremony should honor the people making the commitment and the life they hope to build together.

Tell me about your story, the tone you want for your ceremony, and the beliefs or traditions you want to discuss. A conversation about those details helps us explore whether the service is the right fit.

Separate from counseling

Wedding officiating is a non-clinical service, separate from mental health and addiction counseling. Wedding inquiries should be made by phone or email, not through the counseling client portal.

Before the Big Day

A few things to talk through.

Who is welcome?

All couples are welcome, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ couples and families. Your background, identity, family structure, and beliefs will be treated with respect.

What if we want a religious or nonreligious ceremony?

Share your preferences when you reach out. We can discuss the tone, readings, vows, and traditions you would like included, as well as anything you would prefer to leave out.

What about dates, locations, and fees?

Contact Scotty with your preferred date and ceremony location to discuss availability, details, and fees. An inquiry does not reserve a date or confirm a booking.

How should we prepare for the marriage paperwork?

Before confirming a ceremony, discuss the paperwork and any applicable officiant-registration requirements with Scotty and the appropriate parish clerk’s office. Do not assume ordination alone completes every local requirement.

Let’s Start with a Conversation

Tell me about the day you’re imagining.

Share your preferred date, ceremony location, the kind of celebration you have in mind, and the best way to reach you. We can discuss availability, fees, and next steps together.
